Unlike traditional crown toppers, hairline toppers are designed to solve one very specific problem: receding hairlines and thinning temples. That means the size you choose must fit the shape of your front hairline — not the top of your head.
Over the years, I’ve seen women struggle not because they picked the wrong topper, but because they picked the wrong size. A topper that’s too wide will look heavy; too narrow, and it won’t cover the thinning area.
This guide explains the differences between our signature sizes:
- 10.5" × 1.75" (27cm × 4.5cm)
- 3cm × 28cm ultra-slim design
- 5cm × 28cm extended temple coverage
…plus how to know if you need a custom size.
If you're brand new to hairline toppers, start with Hairline Topper Buying Guide.
1. Why Size Matters for Hairline Toppers
The front hairline is a delicate area. It curves, dips, and varies from person to person. The goal is to choose a topper that:
- matches your natural hairline shape
- blends seamlessly into your temples
- does not add unnecessary bulk
- covers thinning areas without overwhelming your face
With hairline toppers, long and slim designs look most natural — not wide or bulky bases.
2. Our Signature Size: 10.5" × 1.75" (27cm × 4.5cm)
This is our best-selling size because it fits 95% of women. It is designed to mimic the natural width of the central hairline while extending seamlessly into the temples.
✔ Best For:
- receding central hairline
- mild temple thinning
- early-stage hairline loss
✔ Why It Works:
- slim width = no bulky forehead look
- long length = secure blending into natural hair
- suits straight, wavy, and curly styles

3. Ultra-Slim Hairline Topper: 3cm × 28cm
This is our thinnest, most minimal base — designed for women who want extremely subtle coverage or only need to fill a narrow recession line.
✔ Best For:
- very early-stage hairline recession
- women with naturally thin or fine hair
- those who want zero bulk and maximum realism
✔ Benefits:
- disappears into the skin easily
- ideal for soft baby-hair blending
- lightest weight for daily wear
If your goal is “no one will ever know,” this size may fit you best.
4. Extended Temple Coverage: 5cm × 28cm
Some women lose volume not just at the center, but also at the temples. This slightly wider base gives extra coverage without looking thick or wig-like.
✔ Best For:
- temple thinning from traction alopecia
- postpartum shedding around the sides
- women who want more face-framing fullness
✔ Benefits:
- covers a wider thinning pattern
- still blends naturally without bulk
- great for side-part styles
Ideal if you want your topper to “wrap” into the sides a bit more.
5. When You Should Choose a Custom Size
While our standard and ultra-slim bases fit most women, some hairlines require a more tailored shape. You may need a custom size if:
- your recession pattern is asymmetrical
- your temples thin farther back than average
- you prefer a more curved or angled design
- you need a very specific length or width
Custom sizes take 7–8 weeks to produce and use the same high-quality lace and human hair.

6. How to Measure Your Hairline for the Perfect Fit
Use a flexible measuring tape and measure:
- Width: across the front hairline, just above the forehead
- Length: from the hairline down into the area where your natural hair is thick
Most women measure between 24–30cm in length and 3–5cm in width — which is why our slim rectangular bases fit so naturally.

If your temples are noticeably thinning: 5cm × 28cm
